Villa Magdalani is located within the charming Greek village of Lourdas. Lourdas is located at the bottom of Mount Ainos, and enjoys an exceptional micro-climate. The natural vegetation consists of cypress trees, olive trees and pine trees, but you can also see exotic palm and banana trees.

Lourdas bay is on the south coast of Kefalonia and is one of the largest bays of the Island and is fringed by over 2 miles of sand and pebble beach. The beach is within 500m walking distance down a steep incline through the village, past the famous plane tree and natural spring, but the walk back up is only for the fittest! In the village itself, there are several restaurants, taverna’s and small shops. The beach offers water sports in July/August. There are plenty of beautiful beaches and coves to explore in the area.

It is a wonderful place for walkers and hikers and bird watching. The buzzards live in the forestry behind the villa and are often viewed gliding the thermals.

The few taverna’s situated along the beach at Lourdas offer locally caught fish and vegetables grown on their own plots of fertile land alongside the beach, just the beginning of a healthy and relaxing holiday.
